Watch suggestions

Birthday present time, struggling for ideas but one idea is a new watch, Mrs940 bought the current one I have ( Sector ) about 10 years ago. Sort of thing I have in mind:

This forum has been around for ages though!

As for your request... what * exactly * are you after? Quartz, or mechanical? One tough hombre, or something you can just wear all the time (suit/mud)? What are you after in a watch - easy to read dial, chrono function, alarm, etc etc etc

My mistake, never found it before though!

I'll wear it all the time, never wear a suit more likely to find me in a pool on a mountain bike in a kart or driving the car - or digging the kids out of a river/ornamental pond ( Don't ask )

Stopwatch handy, and I am a fan of gadget stuff I hardly ever use...

G-Shock Giez, then. Hard to break, loads of functions.

I'd like to know how good these Baros are for telling the weather. So it's not going to be raining today, I assume.

It's giving the right reading based on the weather websites and taking into account the altitude here. Quick rain shower just happened though

Oops.

As I understand it, if the pressure is going up, the weather should be good. Other way round, weather is bad?

Yeah think so, went to the beach today, set it to 0 ft as a calibration. Pressure reading was bang on what the weather said.

Sunny all afternoon, pressure still high so good day tomorrow in the ringood area, trust me!

So what have we learned today, lowest point on my commute is 50ft, highest 590ft ( now I know why Dummer has more snow than the surrounding area every year )

Also if the wind is lowered at 70mph the altitude reading goes up 50ft

Office temp 32C... nasty today in there!
