I've been looking for a cheapish but robust bracelet watch for sometime - I want to keep the Monza nice and as it has a croc strap it isn't a knock about watch.
I've always liked the look of Omega seamasters and saw that goldsmiths are doing a 0% credit thing. I can get the boggo seamaster for something like 25 quid over 3 years. This is obviously such a small amount of cash that I wouldnt notice it going out of the bank every month.
other alternative is a boggo Tag, such as the aquaracer. Again, on interest free credit this is something stupid like 17 quid a month.

I like these both equally - but don't really need them, a timex from argos would do.
hmmmm. I've had a good week though and have just got a new job with a 10k pay increase.
Before the anti-credit lot have a go, I do have the cash to buy either outright but the installments are basically nothing so in my efforts to convince myself i am basically telling myself it is a free watch.
should I treat myself or go to argos armed with 20 quid?

I might go for the Tag. The old man purchased a Tag from them a couple of years ago and said they offered him 10% off in store without even asking. So I might pop in, knock 70 quid off the tag, and bung them 15 quid a month till it's paid off.
Basically a free watch.
I doubt they'll give you a discount and 0% finance.Basically a free watch.
I'd say go for it.
I just had a look on the site, I'd take something like the Planet Ocean instead, though. Only £47 a month, which is hardly going to be noticed.
I'd still feel funny getting a watch on credit, but if it's 0%, I'd be quite tempted.
I've got the non-chrono version of the Tag and a similar Omega, both quartz. Both have been used daily and I have to say the Omega feels that little bit more special. The omega replaced the tag as my daily wear for this reason. Saying that, I've had the Tag nearly 10 years now and it hasn't missed a beat! Both great robust daily watches, I would worry more about wearing an auto movement watch as a daily wear but I guess they are pretty robust... I'd go for the omega personally and stick with the quartz unless you can justify the extra for an auto.
Hi all, first time post but long time lurker
Have a keen interest in watches & cars amongst other things & the OP is one I am also considering.
As Quidco currently offer 15% off Goldsmiths online purchases, does anyone know if this would also be valid via an interest free sale as discussed? If so then it is getting close to high street discount with the advantage of 0%.
Rgds.
