Just looked up the cost for a new Omega bracelet for my watch..well over £300... One store is selling it at £500!!!!

So assuming your watch is half decent, you got off lightly biggrin

The Ti IWC Aquatimer BRACELETS (I'll say again, straps are made of leather, rubber, or fabric) are apparently £850

A quick Google suggests I might get change from £400 for a Ti bracelet for my Breitling Aerospace...

Sorry, but £95, thats a billy bargain, you can pay double/triple that for a replacement manufacturers 'leather' strap.

Perhaps I will take more care of my bracelt now then, its just chucked in a drawer at the minute, had I known it was worth 500 nicker, it would be under lock and key biggrin

I'll second that. My IWC Pilots Chrono needs a replacement leather strap. Cursory enquiry at AD told me it would be £160 for a replacement. And if you want a deployant to go with that as opposed to the standard buckle, that'll be best part of £300 ... just for the deployant, strap is extra.

£95 is a steal. A new bracelet for my Zenith is apparently £800, which explains why it's been stuffed inside a sock keeping my cufflinks company for the past 2 years!

Just remembered, one extra link for my Stainless GP was £120 and that was about 2 years ago

How often is it that a metal strap gets destroyed to the point of no return?

I've scuffed my Omega strap a lot (through daily wear) but it can be polished out very easily (they did it as part of a service I had recently).

Titamium can be re-bead blasted - watch head + bracelet for circa £70.00, but I can see how you might want to tell the OH that a new watch was "necessary"
