omega speedmaster schumacher edition
Discussion
I have been toying with the idea of buying a seamaster for the last week or 2. However this morning I have been offered a speedmaster, Schumacher edition (white dial.) I'm just after other people opinion on this. I dont generally like things like it, however its a very nice watch.

Schumacher won quite a few world championships so there are a few editions of the Schuey Speedy 'limited edition'. Some are more limited than others. Mine is the year 2000 version, they made more black dial than white, and I think there were 4000 white made.
So not 'that' limited edition IMO, but I like it. My strap has been despatched, allegedly, so when it turns up I'll post a photo of it on strap. I don't think the standard bracelet on the watch is that good, and the clasp isn't secure.

I dont think they were sold as limited editions, just special editions. So not 'that' limited edition IMO, but I like it. The one on my wrist says 2027/4000 so it was definitely a limited edition. I can't remember the marketing at the time though, you could be right that it wasn't marketed primarily on 'limited' status - I bought it because it looked cool and I couldn't afford a Daytona at the time. Funnily enough though, I've kept the Speedy whilst the steel Daytona has been and gone.
I absolutely LOVE it with a perforated strap though - just received the strap this evening and it's given the watch a new lease of life for me
