Comrade Chairman, tell us about your new watch.......
Thanks for asking Bond, i am reluctant to make this topic about me, ...but since you asked;
Having jostled with every type of office watch i have concluded that the following are not appropriate;
Speedmaster Pro - Heavy, no date, difficult to read at a glance, cluttered, digs in, reasonably common;

Master Geographic - Delicate, far too expensive, utterly impossible to tell the time without borrowing someones glasses, far too expensive, deployant;

So i have settled of a IWC MK XVI - Light, 39mm, leather and buckle, easy to read at a glance, slides under cuff, no bezel to get marked, date, nobody seems to know what it is (a huge positive), a reassuring tick;

There you go, i have done the research for you, buy an IWC.

I'm on the look out for one of these...
I'm determined to get one before I'm 50

You might want to think about one of these instead. Slightly smaller, and not an 8 day movement, but a great watch all the same and it'll save you £4k on the price of a Big IngeI'm determined to get one before I'm 50

although personally I want one of these.....

Lovely watches gents, I love the JLC. The next watch I get (I am picking one up today so excluding that one!) will be an IWC, probably a GST 2000 or something like that. Awesome bits of kit.
I nearly so nearly bought one last week. In fact I know where there is a pre-owned 2002 one for sale, it was up for £3800 money which I should be spending on other things. If anyone is interested in knowing whereabouts drop me a pm. Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
