I need a small quartz analogue clock for the instrument panel of an aircraft, and it occurred to me that one of the Bell & Ross Aviation watches (without strap) would do the job very neatly.

However, can't justify the price of an original so prefer a good quality replica.

Can anyone recommend a reliable seller, ideally in the UK?

thanks

As oxymorons go 'a reliable seller of fakes' is up there with 'smart bomb' and 'microsoft works'

Could you not just buy an actual clock for the aircraft ?

They were about 50 quid last time I was looking for a kitchen clock in a moment of madness.

The Bell and Ross snides will have little or no lume if that makes any difference in the office, sorry I mean flying at night.

Chronomaster did have exactly what you are after here: http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/new_watches_3.htm

Might be worth calling Neil and enquiring ...?

Thanks

Doesn't need backlighting, but must be battery operated.

The panels and transponders have clocks, but like most aftermarket clocks, they are digital.

I still find an analogue reference more intuitive. And, most of the time, wrist watches are useless in a helicopter.

So it's a small, flat, attractive, quartz, analogue, clock I need - something like the Bell & Ross range would be nice.

Edit. You want a battery powered copy - I'd written a lot of bumph about what I understood 'replica' to mean, but that is the top-end counterfeits and they all have Liaoning VJ7750 clones in them.

Should have realised an automatic movement isn't ideal for a desk clock / aircraft instrument (it'd give you an excuse to do stunts whilst flying though...)

So sorry, no idea on battery fakes.

Is a fake for an aircraft the same as a fake for your wrist scratchchin

From my investigations, the B&R replicas come with an automatic movement (so it would run down whilst stationary), but the chronograph models come with a quartz movement - but that means the face is more cluttered and the second hand (useful for rate-one turns) is barely visible.

thanks for the thoughts.
