Ebay won't let me sell my watch box!

I have just spent loads of time photographing and describing a box & leather case for an Omega Speedmaster that I lost years ago, and then they tell me I can't list it because it's :
" An empty branded box, bag, tin or other container that could be potentially used to hold and sell a similar or identical product. "
Who'd have thought that empty boxes would be banned from sale!

Perhaps someone who had the watch but had lost the original box, but wished to sell for the best possible price?PaulHogan said:

You know that the box any half-decent watch comes in isn't the same as the box a toaster comes in, don't you?It's a totally reasonable thing to try and sell, and the ebay rule is reasonable in itself too (prevents the 'BUY MY XBOX box' scams), just a shame they don't make sense together.

Interesting, I was wondering what to do with a Rolex box and cardboard sleeve I have spare.
Genuinely a spare, I bought an Airking from Badminton Horse Trials last year, the AD gave me the watch in a green Rolex box with all packaging/sleeve etc. He then said they would post paperwork and valuations on to me as they dont take certificates etc to shows for the obvious security reasons. Two days later, as promised, all papers and books arrive special delivery along with another Rolex box and sleeve.
If e-bay don't allow ads for them, where would be the best place to sell, and do these things actually sell for much ?
