Hi All

My Girl friend dropped her Gucci watch off at a watch GP/Hospital/doctor type establishment at the Trafford centre, however just had a look at it and they have scratched the case on the front, it looks really bad. She never checked it for marks at the time.

Do I have any rights? What can I do?

Any help would be great

Thanks Nick

You'll be lucky to get anywhere without a full admission from them.

I would imagine that for any comeback you would have had to have noticed the damage in store upon collection of the watch. The store has no proof that your other half hasn't damaged the case since leaving and now wants a free repair ... It's really unfortunate and very easy not to check these things!

Ask for a quotation to repair the scratch - It might not be that expensive smile

Some years ago Selfridges scratched a Tag of mine whilst changing a battery and I refused to accept it. The manager apologised and replaced it with a brand new one from his display.
