New watch - Fortis
Discussion
Well after my previous thread of looking for an alternative to the Sinn 356 Flieger and someone mentioning Fortis, I decided to take a look.
After loads of research about the brand and the watches they offer and scouring the net for a good deal, I fell for the look of the Fortis Flieger and Pilot Professional. I originally wanted a GMT watch, but it seemed I could only find the one I really wanted for way over my budget or only 2nd hand (even then I couldnt find one)
In the end I went for the Pilot Professional Chronograph (ref 597.22.11), classic looking, clean lines, sapphire (unlike the Sinn 356, which would have been £300 more for sapphire). Its 40mm, 15mm deep. The Sinn 356 is 38.5mm and read a few reviews that some people find it too small. I've not got huge wrist, but wanted a decent sized watch.
It arrived today and I'm very pleased with it more than I thought I would be. Its my first proper watch too. I've ordered a Fortis metal bracelet, which will be here in a couple of days.
Finally, I'd like to thank Neil @ Chronomaster for a top service, a great deal and even responding to emails outside of office hours too.
Few pics:-

Looks great, always liked the Flieger & Pilot Pro chronos.
I have a Fortis Cosmonaut Day/Date which was my first 'proper' watch. Only snag is, it's only 38mm, and is a tad on the small side nowadays as you say. Looks like a toss-up between Sinn, Glycine and Ball for me next, although might yet be tempted into a 42mm Fortis.

Wear a Fortis Flieger as my everyday watch and have been very pleased. Bought from Chronomaster like the OP. Great service, cheaper than Jura and would certainly use again. Mine now retails for £200 more than I paid about 18 months ago so I reckon should should prove a good investment for the OP if he keeps it for a while.
Shows what you should be paying for a watch with an off-the-shelf movement IMHO.

That's lovely. Perhaps a little large for my wrist / tastes but beautiful nonetheless. Personally I like it with the leather strap but understand that the lifespan of it will be much shorter than a metal bracelet.
It's always nice to see something a little out of the ordinary too.
Interesting choice!
