To be honest unless you've got a fantastic amount of time and access to atleast some basic lathes and mills..etc, its unlike anything wil get off the ground. Sorry, even then not all the parts will be manufacturable ie spring, case ..etc.

In my view buy the book by george daniels (greatest watch maker alive IMO) and appreciate the craftsmenship and get it out your system. If that fails BHI do a number of distance courses, bare in mind that to become master watch maker, I think the average time is about 12 years though. And you'd probably do most your work in switzerland after that may be germany now,

There's a bunch of options and you can pick pretty much everything you want from the case, movement, dial, hands, strap. Price isn't horrible and you get a watch that you've built and you'll learn how to take care of it and any other manuals/autos that you buy.

I'm planning on doing this when I have some time. It looks to be a go at your own pace program.
