At Christmas I had a new battery fitted to my Breitling watch, but it came back with a faulty LCD display. The shop is a reputable jeweller in Oxford who deal with Cartier, Rolex etc... I dropped it back into them saying I was unhappy because it was working when it was dropped it in, but they told me that it was a fault with the watch.

I have just had correspondence back from Breitling saying that the fault was as a result of the battery being replaced incorrectly, and a bill of over £400 to repair it. I have all the dates it was dropped in and our conversations.

BUT like a numpty I can’t find my receipt for the battery change. It was a small till slip and look as a might, I can’t find it.

I want to take the jeweller to the small claims over their negligence. Do I have a leg to stand on? I feel like an idiot!

Cheers

Did you pay cash? If not there'll be some evidence on your statements of plastic use.

Bit of a tangent, but was it a Pluton?
