Someone in an office I visit wears a nice looking watch but I have no idea what it is and don't feel comfortable asking him!

It's a brushed finish, large, (probably 45mm+), round, crown at 3pm with two additional buttons either side at 2 and 4. Black face, with two sub-dials at 6 and 9. Date (and possibly day?) at 3 with the name above the date window. The second hand is red, and stationary at 12. The hands themselves taper to a very thin, almost disappearing point at the centre, and are quite wide near each tip but coming back to a point at the very end.

Is that solveable?!?!

Was there a tachymetre scale? Numerals or batons?

They all have 3 subdials I think?

Pretty unusual to have 2 subdials in any position other than 6 and 12 or 3 and 9...

They all have 3 subdials though, don't they?
OP seemed a bit vague so I thought I'd throw it out there. On some the 3rd dial is alot harder to spy from a distance.

I didn;t have my reading glasses on so I couldn't make out the logo! It *seemed* to be rectangular and to match the size of the day/date window, if that helps!

A Hamilton of some description perhaps? They seem to be rotating the standard movement in a few of their models so that the chronograph counters are in unusual positions.
