R8 Spyder vs Graham Tourbillograph

Thought that this might be worth a post in here. Autoexpress have done a series of articles pitting the new Audi R8 Spyder against 'super-rich thrills'.....namely a stunt plane, a powerboat, and most oddly, a watch. Not your usual car mag article, I must say (though it's almost like they're describing the automatic movement's rotor as some sort of new black magic!)....

I must declare an interest - I publish Autocar, which is in some ways a competitor to Auto Express.

That said, we sat around the office laughing out loud at that absolutely appalling piece of journalism. Couldn't understand why on earth they saw fit to compare a boat, a plane and a watch with a car, and couldn't see fit to see why, of all the watches they chose, it was the Graham. I can only assume that they were (quite appropriately) laughed at by every other watch PR when the request went in. Either that or the scribbler concerned knows less about watches than he does about cars.
