I fancy a watch that glows in the dark. Here's the criteria:

Sub £200 ideally, will bend for something nice.

Not a Traser or a Smith and Wesson (just don't like 'em).

Must have tritium phials on hour and minute hands and at 12.

Second hand perfectly acceptable.

If I'm going second hand I'd ather not have a quartz, although I appreciate that's a very tall order for £200, so no a hard rule.

What suggestions do you have then people?

Have you had a look at the Traser Classic Automatic Pro? Swiss ETA 2824 movement with sapphire glass, display back, PVD coating and comes with blue tritium hour markers and hands, with a red tritium tube to mark 12 o'clock ... A really nice spec for £320-350, if you can push your budget a bit!

It might be worth having a look at the Luminox range - I've heard good things about them and there are lots of different styles to choose from. The majority are in the £150-300 price bracket: http://luminox.800rpm.com/index.php?/site/catalog

Uzi watches also do some pretty cheap tritium watches ...

Alternatively, if you save up some more cash, then maybe a second hand Ball watch? Ball are a bit more inventive with their use of tritium tubes! biggrin However the cheapest new are £600. If you get two or more, then you can always create some witty thread titles too! wink

Since you've asked, it's to sew the prosthesis in place on the inside of your scrotum. This stops it going for a wander... like up the inguinal canal.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inguinal_canal

Furthermore, a DIY guide: http://www.urologymatch.com/Orchiectomy.htm

Ok, I lied. That's just removing the old one. To put in the new one, you make an 8cm incision in the lower abdomen, invert the scrotum up through the inguinal canal and out through the incision, sew the prosthesis to the inside of the scrotum, push the lot back through, then sew up the wound. I could do it for you... except I'd pass out as soon as I'd pushed the scalpel into your skin.

I'm sure it was developed by a man-hating female surgeon.
BMA head: So, how are we to standardise the removal of a testicle?
Male consultant: I recommend a tiny, tiny incision in the scrotum.
Female consultant recently jilted by male lover on discovering she was a mental and currently on her period: I disagree. We should make a 40cm gash across the pubic region and force the scrotum up through the narrow canal as violently as possibly to make sure the bd feels it for weeks later, then with a rusty butter knife, we will slice through the spermatic cord OR I WILL KILL YOU ALL NOW, YOU bdS.
BMA head: errr m... motion passed.

I have a Vmax Freestyle, very solid watch, glows like a torch and the accuracy is bang on with my atomic Casio. Can be had for £125.

Thanks guys, some really good suggestions. I think I'm going to have to save up for a Ball. None of the others really light my candle.

yes I keep thinking about the Ball Fireman Night Train. Very flieger-looking even if it's meant with steam locomotives in mind.

Jurawatches (www.jurawatches.co.uk) and Chisholm Hunter (www.chisholmhunter.com) are both authorized dealers for Ball Watches, and unlike Ernest Jones, will offer some sort of discount. I bought mine from CH, who were fantastic to deal with; smooth transaction, very helpful and fast delivery smile
