As the title says, the leather strap on my watch is splitting where it attcahes to the buckle, so before the inevetable happens, I need to get a new strap. Looking for a high quality leather crocodile in brown, any suggestions?

I couldn't disagree more. Toshi makes a great strap, but at 4-5mm thick it would spoil the look and proportions of the Portuguese. It would be like sticking a set of Land Rover Defender wheels on a Lotus Elise. nono

Surely the watch deserves the genuine item? I was surprised how reasonable an IWC one was for my Pilot UTC after buying a few cheap alternatives and rejecting them.

Don't pay through the nose for IWC branded stuff. You can get better quality, for less

My new Kevlar with white stitching has just landed from TWB for my 3717. Quality is outstanding, cannot speak for their crock straps, but if this is anything to go by and you don't want to stump up for an original I'd give them a go. See here:

Best check the size too, I think the port is a 20mm not 21.

They want about £170 for a strap that lasts 4 years!
