Hi Guys,

So I had a bit of a moment and brought this on my lunch break today. Better photos to come when I find where the missus has placed all the USB cords she so helpfully ''tidied'' away.

What I'm thinking of is spending more money and getting a leather strap to compliment it. I'm thinking something in a tannish type colour with a deployant buckle. I'm very tempted by one of the Toshi range but am thinking that maybe the Toshi is a bit much for this watch.

Oh and if you're having trouble with the terrible pic its a Explorer 2.

Any suggestions and good places to buy from? I'll be needing something 20 mm in size.

If I was you I'd go for a NATO strap as they are more in keeping with the style of watch.

I tried a Toshi on mine for something to do, it tended to scuff against the watch though, it was 5mm leather - I'd say go 3-4mm thickness max although Richard would be able to advise you better than me.

Thanks Guys.

I'm not sold on Nato's. They look okay but I've yet to get that wow factor when I see one on a watch.

I went into my local town but the only place I could find straps was the local cobblers. I had a nosey around but didn't see anything that looked nice.

The problem I'm finding is its kind of hard to tell the quality of a leather strap by a photo. The Toshi ones have some really nice pics and you can see them on various watches to get an idea on how it may look.

I take it Rich is the guy who works at Toshi? I'll shoot an email over and see what he suggests.

Yep, Rich is Toshi, his straps are top quality. Another to have a look at/drool over are some of the APB (?) - someone help me out - the French one based in Paris? They do a more exotic/esoteric selection if that's your bag.
For myself, it's fun changing them about a bit but the Rolex sports really just suit the bracelet, I tried a few but settled back to the metal where it's stayed ever since.

I love Natos, esp when the weather is hot and I'm just sweaty all the time (it's not like I'm even fat). No other material feels ok. And I also love putting Natos on expensive watches and dress watches as it is kind of ironic that a posh watch has now become slightly more practical and less bling at the same time. Then again, I never wear smart clothes.

Would the opposite be true? Getting diamonds glued on a bracelet. Make a nice watch look expensive. nuts
