Panerai Luminor Daylight Chrono

A quick (and perhaps naive) question, but I am looking at a Panerai and wanted to validate the case size. I am told it is 44mm - but does that include the winder mechanism or is that purely the round element of the case? I currently have a Breitling Colt Chrono and a Rolex Submariner, both with fairly large cases but I am not sure how they compare. I understand the Breitling is a 42.5mm case????
Any thoughts on the Luminor Daylight Chrono would also be appreciated - especially if you have got one already

It's 44mm across just the case, the crownguard is extra on top.

You'll quickly get used to a large watch so don't let your instant feelings throw you off. Any new watch for example will catch your eye for the honeymoon period before you settle in and accept it.

Don't buy without trying on.

Even "large" watches can look OK on the wrist. Similarly "small" or "medium" ones may not look right.

The design of the case, strap, the colour ways and materials used etc all make a massive, massive difference IME.

I had one of these-a PAM 188.I wanted a Daytona at the time and bought this as an alternative.I sold it to buy a PAM 185 and always regretted it.

I tried on a 44mm Pan but thought it was just too big (for me anyway) and settled on a 40mm titanium Marina. Had it coming upto 2 years now, still very happy with it.
