The OH has acquired one of these for me. I've never heard of them before and at first I thought it looked horrible.
I haven't worn it yet, as I'm not sure if I Like it yet, although I think it is growing on me.

Has anyone heard of them? Any opinions? I realise it is probably a bit cheap for on this forum at £150 but any opinion is better than none.

I have had the crystal one for 18 months, worn it about 6 times, believe it or not,i am still unsure if i like it or not.It does however keep very good time, when i have worn it other people tend to be curious about it,some like it,some do not.It is however as you probably know, quite flimsy.

They are horrible.
Overpriced faddy plastic crap.

Better to buy a Seiko 5/Monster or some other Rolex-alike.

Yeah it being flimsy was what initially caught my attention. It felt cheap. But after playing with it for a bit I think It is just light. Which I quite like in a watch.
yikes If you are still not sure after 18 months I've got no hope.

I don't think the price is important, it's whether you like it or not. It's not to my taste but then again I'd be surprised if you liked all my watches.
My SMPO (relatively expensive) is currently taking a distant second place to my Christopher Ward quartz (c. £130) at the moment, because I like it.

A few years ago I'd have had one but there are so many varieties now and they do look like they are the prize from a kinder egg!

I thought that would be the consensus to be fair. Just re-assuring myself.

Now to break her heart and tell her to send it back.

Any recommendations apart from the Seiko 5/Monster from ND? (Thanks BTW)

£20 watch being sold for £150-200 20 year old girls love them, the Ice ones are just as bad, but are a bit cheaper.

It's a fashion watch, enjoy it for a couple of months then flog it off.

They aren't intended to be family heirlooms.

Perhaps a titanium Seiko might be worth considering ... ?

I've got a 39 year old seiko 5 that was my dads, wear it everyday. Keeps time well, looks smart and retro (but it is actually twice my age) generally doesn't miss a beat. Bulletproof!

Exactly. Somehow they've convinced fkwits that they're fashionable. Twenty quid's worth of watch at the most. What a pile of toss.

I actually went watch shopping with my sister as it was her 21st recently, she was looking at Armani, Gucci etc. at around £350-500 range. Showed her a "proper" Omega, side by side, same price etc. and even she could see what the difference was.

Thanks guys and girls. Just been reading a few of the other threads on here. Been very insightful. Some great pieces on here, going to be a hard few weeks whilst I decide.

Thanks again smile

I first saw one of these a couple of years ago in Macy's and was tempted to get one but then noticed the price and had a change of heart.
