I've recently started messing around on Jet-Ski's quite a lot and I've been wearing my Seamaster ads it fits over my wetsuit without any problems. I'm just a bit worried about ruining it or losing it out at sea somewhere!

Does anyone wear theres for any watersports (I know it's a divers watch!) or should I just get a G-Shock or something for when I'm out?

The watch will not be an issue, other than if it's in the sea salt water isnt good, however you do run the risk of breaking the bracelet and loosing the watch in a stack. I used to waterski a lot and heard of this happening a few times.

I would wear a cheapy.

also if you have a seamaster with the extendable bracelet for diving be careful as mine has a tendency to sometimes pop undone ( large PO) . a heavy stack from a jetski and it could be bye bye nice watch.

I don't have to have it on the extended link on the bracelet as I only wear a summer suit so it's not too think, but thinking about it now I'm going to best just buying a cheap watch, any suggestions?

Seems daft - its 5% watch, 95% jewellery. Get a G-Shock. (i have 3 G's and a PO - wouldn't even jog in the PO)

Personally I would wear it. smile
I wear my Seamaster for most stuff!

If you're worried about the bracelet (and that would be my only real concern) then I'd stick it on a NATO strap.

Linky.

Please dont!

Thats like having your wife wear some nice diamond earings then put on big plastic clips to keep them on during sports!

I wouldn't bother, you never know what freak accident you could suffer. So far this year, after almost 30 years of water skiing. I've lost a £1000 platinum wedding band and had six stitches in a head wound. Both were accidents I've never had before. Now the watch, wedd band and chain all come off before I get in the water.
If you really need to keep an eye on the time get a G-Shock.

I disagree - a friend of mine in the Infantry wears his SMP on a NATO on Ops in Afghan.

I think it's understated class...

G-Shock definitely, never had one let me down in some of the most "demanding" situations i've been in.

Just aquired a PO myself is bloody gorgeous, dont even think I would take it out in the rain! 600m.... pah

I have a G-shock that I wore every day when I worked on a very large printing press, with chemics knocks, scratches etc the worst that happened is the rubber strap retainer loop split and I think I did that on holiday!

Get a G-Shock and abuse it.... they love it.

Take it easy on that jet ski mate... nah sod it, go for it

Didn't someone lose a rather tasty Breguet a while back? Whilst sailing and he fell in?

I personally wouldn't risk it, G-Shocks are perfect for stuff like that!
