I seem to remember seeing on here a thread some time ago that mentioned another version of the IWC Topgun, but without the Topgun markings - really really like this watch, to the point of trying it on a few times - the only thing that's stopping me is the crappy Topgun (IMHO, obviously) badge and guff on the back of the case.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the one without??

Another great thank you - I've sent the dealer an email. Narrowed down the search by looking for IWC and doppelchrono.

Have now had information on the watch back from the dealer. They are based in Switzerland, but the watch can either be shipped to the UK or collected from Frankfurt.

Has anyone had dealings with Chrono24? do they vet their advertisers? Dealer says they will do sale or return, but this is a big step into the unknown for me. Would a CC transaction offer security over being hoodwinked?

Markus and Bettina @ Watches.De are sellers of the highest order. I have purchased two pieces from them - both by bank transfer, both pieces couriered upon receipt of funds with tracking details emailed at the same time.

Their pieces are in exactly the condition stated and I really cannot recommend them highly enough.

The new Doppel looks fantastic. Here's a comparison to my Doppel 3713.

(less manly wrist...)

Oooh, what a lovely pair! Phnaar!

And as to Dominic's comment about a manly wrist - I am not quite sure how to take that....!!
