Can the experts give me their view on the above - no-one seems to mention them so are they either not worth the money ,disliked generally or just not good watches ?
Quite like the idea of the personalised V12 models.

Have a look on Chrono24.com to see what the market thinks of them. 2nd hand ones are SERIOUSLY cheap.

I'm a fan. But I've always liked something a bit different.

The detailing is too fussy & the new prices way too high for me.

I bought a BRM V12-44-Gulf (the flag-ship watch you see on their web-site)on the 17th May for £5,700 in Mayfair. Limited edition number 34/100. I have had it only two weeks. Looks amazing but... the orange/blue/white Gulf detailing on the watch face turns out to be nothing more than a cheap transfer and it is PEELING OFF AFTER TWO WEEKS!!!! Also they pretend that the watch is hand-made but the reality is that they use an outsourced standard Swiss mechanism, so all they actually do is make the strap and body. I will be seeking a full refund today. THESE WATCHES ARE AN UTTER CON. Massively over priced, falsely represented, extremely poor quality. I seriously advise anyone not to buy them.

You joined PH to slag off a watch?

There was a stand selling them at Goodwood, I had a good look at a Silverstone, When he said £4200 I thought you're kidding, really not that special, the hands are nice and so is the bickle, but thats it. The bloke was more intersted in the JLC on my wrist than trying to hard to sell me the watch.

I believe BRM use ETA movements for the majority of their range ... Just looking at the back of a V6-44 and it doesn't even look as if the movement has been decorated! eek IMHO, overpriced when new, but a good 'left field choice' at second hand prices smile

My view: BRM are very expensive considering they have bought-in ETA movements. The styling is not to everyone's taste and should you need to offload it, the buying market will be limited.

To paraphrase Dom H (and I really did smile when I read this, when referring to some of the Corum models) "The value drops like a stone from new and then starts to depreciate rapidly".

And for that reason, ah'm oot!

Good value second hand if they haven't already fallen apart, I for one like the styling although the quality is about the same a Bangkok knock off

Saw these advertised in auto car, went to the (crap) website but gave up trying to see how much they were. Stand at FOS looked very average so didn't bother going over. Yes they're different but from what I've seen they should be priced against the lower end of the tag range or similar. £4-5k is a joke when you think of the other options available !
