Hi I bought a Emas Chronograph of a guy who frequents this section. It was one of the limited edition Octane magazine ones. Unfortunatly it no longer winds up, so does anyone know of a UK stockist as the manufacturer seems reluctant to answer any emails, or alternativly anywhere that you can recomend for repairs. I live in Bristol but get all over the South so location not an issue.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Any decent watchmaker should be able to diagnose your problem and give it a service/ the parts it needs. Parts shouldn't be a problem as it's probably an ETA movement.

I would hazard a quess that it is overwound, not knowing what area you are from I couldnt recommend you to any of the local watchmakers I would use.

But as has been mentioned above, any decent watchmaker would have no issues working on that watch.

Do you recall when it broke, was it as you were winding it, is the crown tight ie wont wind, or does it wind alot but has no tension.
Yes that is the one. Looking at the post above yours it would appear that Timezone are the only UK distributor so I have sent them an email. I don't know the movement in it.

As for the fault, it wound fine on the Monday and then when I went to just top it up the next day, the crown had no resistance at all, it stopped on the next day.

It has a Sea-Gull ST19 movement in it I think. Should be no problem to service/fix.

I would send it to Steve Burrage at http://www.rytetimewatchrepairs.co.uk/
