Jaeger-le Coulture Polaris

The modern one I assume?
Its a re-edition (I think JLC call it a tribute) of a watch originally made in the '60s.
Apart from one thing I think its absolutely lovely, and that one thing is my usual bugbear of a contrasting date window in an otherwise solid coloured dial. Why oh why it isn't white on black I don't know.
There are two versions - steel and platinum. I believe they made 768 of the steel tributes and 165 in platinum and they are all sold (not sure about the platinum). So not very limited but rare enough. There seem to be four for sale on chrono24 at the moment.
The three crowns are for alarm, winding/setting the hands and the internal bezel.

If you're talking of the originals then there is a salutory tale here: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t...
