I've just been forwarded this from a work colleague...

email said:
I am looking for females who have either a Rolex watch or a watch that cost in excess of £2000 for a market research group on Monday 11th October in the evening in Covent Garden - the group will last for 2 hours and you'll be paid £120 for your time.
I have no other details than this, but I'm happy to forward on the contact (email) details if anyone PM's me smile

I was for once being serious. Why would someone pay someone £120 just for owning a particular brand of watch and all they had to do was turn up to a meeting place I'd presume with said watch (as simply turning up saying you own one wouldn't be enough) and answer a few questions.

Sounds extremely suspect.

Well, it happens all the time. Since I'm registered with a couple of the market research panels, every now and again I get asked if I'll do some 'secret shopping'. This one happens to be one that I don't qualify for, so I open it up to others. And if no-one wants to do it, I promise I won't cry wink

These research groups happen all the time, and £100-£200 is standard as a fee for time, plus food and drink.

Fair enough. Ignore me then. As you were.
