I am off to Vegas in seven sleeps and in the market for a new watch. Is it worth buying at Heathrow i.e. tax free or waiting until I get to Vegas as I am assuming that they will be cheaper there?

Some great watch shops in Vegas and generally they will deal. Not sure about being cheaper than Heathrow but you'll have more choice.

2 shops in Caesars Palace including a huge Tourneau which has all the brands you'd expect and some you wouldn't. All the queues are for the Rolex counter but they do Omega, JLC, Patek (I think), IWC, Hamilton, TAG, Hublot as well as the usual Tissot, G-Shock etc. There is also a good shop in the Venetian near to the the square, they knocked 20%+ off a Glycine with no real effort.

Yes they do stock Patek, they can be a little arsey as they see time wasters a lot. They also have a great selection of used watches in stock on display. If you are going with the OH, there is a Tiffanys very near by wink

Thanks for the info. I am looking specifically at AP ROO's so the second hand bit sounds good.

After a massive, no huge amount of deliberation I finally decided on a AP ROO diver but no one in Vegas had one. Walking down a street in San Francisco looking for a diner and found this in the window. I am now a very, very happy boy…

I looked at the normal chronograph ones and really didn't get on with the numbers but the diver is just perfect.

And I have to agree that the quality and attention to detail on the casing is amazing. As I said I am a very happy bunny...
