I was given a Gold Tissot Automatic Seastar Date Day some years ago that needed repair. All of the main jewellers said it could not be repaired as parts were not available. I found and indendent who managed the job and he said the watch was produced around 1972, but that's all I know. I would like to find more about the watch, anyone have information.

They would say it couldn't be repaired as they would hope you'd buy a new watch from them.

You really need to check the specialist watch forums elsewhere.

I've got a Tissot Seastar Auto. I've had it for over 10 years. As far as I know they still make them. Mine stopped working after 5 years without a service. Got it serviced by a local trusted indy jeweller and its been fine ever since. I want something a bit grander, but I have never quite found it. These are pretty inexpensive and last for years.
