Hi all

Considering getting Gina a watch for her birthday. Ok the value is not up to what is usually discussed in this forum, but I wonder if anyone has some nice ideas of where to head? Gina's quite petite with very small wrists, and so it would need to be a fairly dainty watch, but I don't know where to even start looking - so thought I'd ask for some help!

Urmmm...help smile

Thanks
Tony

They start a little higher than that on price, don't they? (from a quick browse around GoldSmiths)? But thanks for the suggestion smile

I have very skinny wrists so hate large watches. I have this Rotary watch, although in gold, which I think retail around the £4-500 mark.

Edit - Opps, wrong bracelet, now with right one.

Gulp so they do now!

I'm sure I paid around the £400 mark but that was a few years ago now

Try taking a look for something second hand, you can pick up some nice pieces if you look around. I picked up my wife a nice IWC Ingeniur, was above that budget but it was like new. I have seen some lovely pieces when browsing in London (can't recall the name of that little arcade full of watch shops).

Whilst not a 'womans watch' as such with it being 38mm dia it is about the right size for a woman these days and it is fairly rare and collectable and mine was admired by a female friend.....

Bought an Omega Constellation for the wife some time ago. Very elegant and she loves it. For the price I thought Nicole Kidman was going to come with it but alas to no avail frown

Excellent, thanks everyone for the ideas.

Spoke with Gina last night and she doesn't mind the idea of second hand, so we're going to start doing some browsing together, pointing her at some of the suggestions in this thread (thanks smile ) and take it from there!

Cheers all - will keep you posted!

This is quite good value and I think the price may be negotiable.

If I could buy from Dom, I'd be a happy man - bought my Speedmaster from him, I just assumed what I'd be looking for would be under his price point, as it were!

I really like the Thomas Sabo watches, more of a jewellery item than a watch but some of them are quite nice. I'm lining one for the Mrs for her next birthday.

I bought my wife a few Sekonda Summertime watches. Cheap and Fun. Swapped the straps out for leather (Coloured to match though) and she's made up. The white one is definately the favorite though....
