Educate me on Russian watches please
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Being as I'm unlikely to see a Russian watch in my local high street watch shop I'm after some advice on what to look for and where to buy and some other information.
I've seen some watches posted on here by some of you guys most recently the Rakeeta in the incoming watch thread and always think very nice watch. I've managed to convince the missus that the ugly Rakeeta on eBay wasn't the best part of £5k and she's allowed me to buy one for xmas.
Not wanting to get caught with something moody I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice.
I'd be happy with something new and Russian as opposed to vintage if it made buying Russian watches for the layman easier.
Cheers.

I've been looking at the poljot.at website and there are quite a few taking my eye so may treat myself to one of those.
I was keen on a Rakeeta day, date and year watch but am in two minds as the year runs out in 2012 and would probably need a new year wheel being made as it would be likely to annoy me when you go past there. I suppose that's a minor thing to worry about but that's as far as I've got so far.

I saw a pair of hand wound pilots Poljots on TZ-UK recently, which caught my eye; at both for £180, but hed sold one before I could get in touch.
