Discussion
Hi all, I would like to purchase this watch. Can I obtain a discount anywhere before Xmas and if so how much and from where? Is anyone on here in the trade.

RRP is £2150 on this.
Cheers

I got mine for £1250 in Beaverbrooks. It was Boxing day 2008 though. It was metal strap up for £1750 and then randomly had £500 off. They gave me 0% on it too. Worth asking what sales they might be having post Xmas? I couldn't believe it when I saw it I just went straight in and got it there and then. It had a scratch on it so they shipped me a new one from Tag. Sweet!
I think if you bargain in a high street with the manager you should be able to get it for £1800 and 0% easy peasy

Also seeing as the Calibre 1887 is out and readily availble, it could drive the price down too?
I agree with the comments above, I got the previous model for £1400, bargain.
Is the Calibre 1887 available in shops? I haven't seen one yet and there doesn't seem to be any online retailers stocking them I agree with the comments above, I got the previous model for £1400, bargain.

ETA: I've been following the 1887 ever since it was first mentioned - I wouldn't mind one!

Just managed to dig out the card I got from the shop - the place is Eric Ross. They seem to be very keen to get a sale so may discount a bit more than 25% if you haggle a bit. They have a web site but is only a front page at the moment. Funny thing is the watch i tried on in there is the exact same one you're after. Thanks for your replies btw.

I got mine 2008 xmas/jan sales for £1300 at Ernest and Jones. I got mine on a leather strap though a mistake I regret in hindsight. Had it back from LVMH in Manchester as the date wheel would not turn automatically but other than that its a nice watch. A bit big/deep compared to my others but a nice watch.
heads up for the op: do you have a tag outlet store near you?
I was in the york branch on friday and they are knocking these out at £1450 with either strap or bracelet, and their sale is yet to start!
I *think* all mcarthur glenn outlets have much the same stores so maybe worth a visit.

I had a look in the York shop on thursday. They had the Carrera chrono but only with silver or white face. The black face one (in the OP's link) wasn't on display as I was also looking for it!
No TAG outlet at the East Mids MacArthur Glen outlet (near me) either.
