Casio have their Tough Solar range which includes G-shocks and sporty watches. Lorus have Tri-lum, I think.

But an automatic doesn't require batteries or winding, what in your title or opening post would exclude NemiSiS reply?

fair point.... but saying "thousands to chose from" isn't very helpful (I can't punch that into Ebay wink )

PS I have just bought a Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium (from here)

That is a lot of money for an Eco-Drive, Argos have a good selection, all under £100. Creation have a good choice too. I bought this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2... in a previous Argos sale for £49.99, I like Eco-Drives (I have 4) but haven't paid over £80 for any of them (all new). Also, the metal of that watch looks very light in colour for titanium...

I thought I'd seen it for £50!! How is that particular model? Did look tempting esp as it's an Eco-Drive.

I really like Eco-Drives as they look like normal watches ie no obvious solar panel. It's all very clever. I particularly like the Stiletto range. The world's thinnest solar-powered watches... and they don't even look solar-powered... or quartz.

Did you look on the Creation site, they have 59 Eco-Drives http://www.creationwatches.com/products/citizen-ec... Prices are in $ so divide by 1.55, postage is free. I wouldn't worry about RRP, just use the internet to get the best deal. Glad you've found a watch you like, but it looks expensive to me.

It's good, I hated the strap, it was like cardboard, so I've got it on a rubber 'tyre' strap with a deployment clasp (cost £10). I wear it swimming and on holiday etc, very good watch for £50, or even £70 as it is now.

Creation £150

You can change the currency on Creation. Dump any old model number in the search box and you come up trumps most of the time.

You do have to wait for the free shipping with Creation though, depends how much patience you have.

If you like it and can afford it, why not, it's the start of a slippery slope though.

You will be ordering a 10 compartment watch box soon. smile
scratchchin true

I already have a few nice watches.....so perhaps I should have asked Santa for a watch box for christmas biggrin
