New Seiko Premier Chrono - SPC057P1
Discussion
Already mentioned in the "What is your best quartz watch" thread, but thought I would post up my opinion of this new watch.
It isn't a high price Omega or TAG, but it is my first serious watch after my cheap Citizen Eco Drive! I am indeed a Watch Newbie!

There is a UK website offering £270 off retail, but it's a "scam" to get you on their website, they are always out of stock.
The model is brand new from Seiko, and has a nice chunky feel, coming from the Citizen, it feels very durable, and the Saphire glass is apparently... scratch resistant. The second hand moves every 1/5 of a second, and (I assume with all these types of watches), it apparently auto adjusts for day light savings, etc.
I bought it in Croatia, where I managed to haggle 10% off with cash, and also claim back the 23% PDV (VAT) they charge here... result!
My next target is a ~£1000/£1500 automatic watch, no doubt when funds permit, I will be back to ask for suggestions!

Apart from not being a fan of Roman Numerals in general, I really don't think they sit well on such a modern looking watch, especially a chrono, but hey, that's just my view.
Certainly a valid point, I don't think the pictures do it justice, when you see one in the flesh, you may warm to it.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
