This is the thread where you can post the watches you want or are going to dream about in 2011.

Here's mine.

I love my PO, but I want a black-and-white diver too. Thus I'm pondering a Longines Hydroconquest auto.

I love having a G-shock; having a totally accurate watch that's harder than Mutha Bacon is great! I appear to have gone googley-eyed for the MTG1100-1a. It goes for a jaw-dropping £500, which is possibly a dealbreaker. But I love those hands and subdials.

I would absolutely adore a first-rate Omega Constellation with the pie-pan dial, but doubt my ability to spot a wrong 'un. Shame.

I've never been much of a one for square (or even tonneau) cases, but I do fancy a Nomos Tetra.

And now for a couple of dreamers:

Dornblüth 99.1. Pictures cannot do justice to these watches. They are magnificent.

If I suddenly get hold of many tens of thousands of pounds for which I can think of no better use, then I'm still stuck on the Lange Datograph Flyback:

On the block are the Chris Ward C8 and Seiko Black Monster. Both are fine watches, but neither are getting any wrist time.

Without creating the longest thread known to man ever I shan't bother you with what are possibilities to buy!
I have a Seagull 1963 reissue and a Christopher Ward Chrono on the way, beyond that I have no idea!
I am considering a Dornbluth for my 25th (in 2012) so would put down my order sometime next year, we shall see on that one.
Other than that, an Explorer II and a Tudor Heritage Chrono would be nice additions to my collection. smile

A Seiko auto of some sort, prob a 007 - see my "Help me choose" thread.

A used JLC Reverso - a wee bit unlikely, but we'll see.

Lottery win would be something from the house of Lange yes

Modest hopes for me next year (but at least I know I'll definitely achieve them):

Tao International:

To which I will fit a Toshi strap. Yes, I'm aware the strap will cost more than the watch! It's nothing amazing, but I think it'll look nice in the watch box and I'll wear it out to clubs etc without worrying too much about damaging it.

Seiko Atlas:

With the blue face. Started looking in to these after the 'Help me choose' thread and now decided that it's definitely on my hit list.

I have enough money in the watch fund for both of the above already so, all being well, they should be achieved within the first three months of 2011.

After that I'm going to do some hardcore saving for...

...A Maurice LaCroix. Or possibly an Oris Diver, like these two:

The last couple might be setting my sights a bit too high though, so I'll be still mulling over a Vostok (although I'm worried they may be a little too small):

There's also the chance of a Poljot replacing any one of the above...

I know this has been done to death, but seriously Al - you could do much better that that "homage". Maybe even combine the cost of the Tao & Seiko to buy one watch?

Shadow, I too love the look of those Omegas, would make a perfect dress watch. How much would one be looking to spend for a decent one?

I can also highly recommend the HydroConquest, I have that exact one & wear it every day as it's so versatile. Dress up with a suit, smart casual whilst lounging in bars or just to add a touch of class whilst out & about at the weekend.

So my 2011 wishlist:

Omega Constellation as posted by Shadow, perhaps with a black strap.

G Shock - model TBC - I do quite fancy having a hard as nails watch that will be invisible yet appreciated at the same time. Plus useful for running & biking (that's how I'm justifying it!)

This is what is realistically going to share wrist time with my Hydro in 2011 as I want a G Shock & a dress watch to have a rounded, for all occassions collection.

If a lottery win comes my way:

Rolex Sub - I know it's another diver & not lottery win money but it's not in budget for 2011 without the aforementioned jackpot. I have a soft spot for these & though I think I'd keep wearing the Longines as it has some sentimental value I crave one in the collection.

IWC Portugese - I think these are beautiful & timeless.

There's also a JLC that I saw on here before but cannot find so will update when I find the model.

The watch bug has only bitten me the last few months.
Prezzie from the wife 9 years ago was a Breitling B2 which is a great watch.

Recently the Mil thing has interested me and I now have an issued CWC RN Diver and thick case '82 issued G10.

2011......Birth year Military Issued which will be a Hamilton and I am beginning to fall for Panerai's in a big way. Know very little about them but I think that is going to change very quick. I think they look awesome

Oh and also fancy a Seamaster and another Breitling......and maybe a Zenith in '12/'13.

In fact the only thing that I don't fancy is a Rolly.......a bit 3 Series. A trophy everyone has heard of and sounds good down the pub......IMO.

I don't have anything with a chrono function - I do, however, have a Longines catalogue:

I'm not entirely convinced that the wedge-shapped actuators don't unbalance the thing, though - need to get my hands on one to decide.

I'm also rather taken by this:

Which seems to be a rare case of the re-creation looking better than the original, and which would be so much more sensible than buying a leather strap for my Aqua-Terra.

And it'd be nice to replace the Smiths Astral that was stolen a couple of years ago - 9ct cases and they typically fetch around £300 but make a very nice mechanical dress watch:

In reality the hillclimb car needs a new motor, so it'll be one of the above at best.

Stop posting pics of those bloody longine divers or it will have to be added to the list! and the idea I have now is to cut down

I have one of these on order should arrive June/July

As for further incoming I have made a decision to have a major cull of at least 12 watches, one has already gone and have interest in another.
I only wear my sinn and Anonimo these days so the rest as much as I love them should go. The plan is to get one of these once I have raised enough (or whatever tudor brings out next year or a JLC or a bronze polluce or a VC overseas chrono smile )

but unless my head is turned this is the current plan.

Pam 279 absolutely love this when I saw it in the flesh it may take all those watches and a long time to save up mind.

Fantasy watches I basically have no chance of getting as well out of my price range. I am lusting after these at the moment and anything GO make

For me it's going to be that Breitling I've been promising myself ever since I go into the industry. Really want a yellow faced Emergency but will settle for a blue faced, previous generation Aerospace smile

Great pic of the Tudor there ...

I think I pretty much have my heart set on a Dornblüth, but I haven't decided which one yet - I'm torn between a 99.1, a 99.2 or a Regulator. I have started gathering funds - two sold so far - that get me perhaps half way to a 99.1. However, I'm struggling to bring myself to sell any others.

Couple of others I'd like to get if I can - a GO Sport Evo and a Reverso Duo - that will call for some creative financing ... wink

I have quite fancied a Sinn U1 SDR on the bracelet for some time now and as I'm the big 3 0 next year I think I'll treat myself.

I also want a nice dress watch, so come spring I will be ordering a Stowa Antea with brown croc deployment strap. I can't decide on the hand wound (I really like the seconds sub dial) or the automatic (slightly larger, which I also like) If funds would allow (they wont!) it would have been a Nomos Tangomat datum instead.

I do like my Seiko orange Monster but I can see it changing for this:

SEIKO SRP043K1 by seikomania2010, on Flickr

and I do fancy an issued CWC G10,

That just leaves me wanting a mechanical chrono and there is a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope that I have really taken a shine to:

This last one is really dependant on having a good business year.

Some very nice watches pictured above. I recently saw the Longines Conquest in the flesh the other day and it certainly looks a nice watch.

2011 I think will be a vintage/bargain year. I've promised the missus I won't buy another watch which she and I both know is a promise I have no intention of really keeping but as a sort of compromise I'm going to spend the year sourcing obscure vintage options and possibly a Russian model.

If I don't keep to my self imposed restrictions the one watch I'm after next is the Omega Speedmaster the moon to mars version. I am however undecided on whether I really want a ltd ed version or should I settle for the regular version.

I have really fallen in love with these ltd edn 40th Anniversary Monaco watches. One of these is on my shopping list:

I also quite fancy one of these to wear with jeans and t-shirts:

In the unlikely event that I still have spending money after those two then one of these for everyday wear would be nice:
