I've found the watch I want next. Retro but with a modern twist...it's a Digital Automatic?! I've never heard of that before so wanted to ask you gurus. It's a Hamilton Pulsomatic:

It's pretty expensive for a digital watch but it's something different.
Anyone know anything about it? Is it worth the money (£1k)?

£1k can get you some very nice watches.

I, personally, wouldn't spend £1k on that.

You could get any number of fashion type watches for £50 that will look the same.

Essentially, same tech as a Seiko Kinetic (rotor charges a rechargeable battery). Once you have the charge you could make it do anything... like move hands, power a digital watch, light a bulb, discharge into your wrist, charge a phone in small doses... actually, why don't we have a charger that charges up AA batteries from a rotor?

I think that's been made to celebrate the fact that Hamilton made the first digital watch and it is an interesting bit of kit that you're not going to see many of, but do I think it's worth a grand? Nope.

I do like their Venturas though...
