What would the experts recommend as a first Heuer Autavia for me buy.

Budget - circa £1,000 but I'm open minded.

I'd want something in nice wearable condition.

I'm certainly no expert but definitely something Cal. 12; within that probably a Carrera or Autavia Viceroy if you can find one at the price.

The Siffert remains the pick of the crop though I think.

Went to see Nic Green http://www.heuerboy.com/ today & came out with this 1972 Cal 12 1163V (with the rare but pretty useless decimal scale bezel)



Needless to say (even though Nic prices are remarkable for a dealer) I did blow the budget
