i am 99.9% convinced its a fake...
but want to be sure before I confront my Brother in law!

too many things ddont seem right....
1. no winder on left side..
2. second hand is not totaly red..

Is it my eyes or are the rectangles at the ends of the hour markers not in line with them?

don;t know if its fake but fakes for that watch are on line for $88 so it could possibly be.

If it is a chronograph then where are the pushpieces - unless it's all done via the crown?

Defintely fake! Without going into the details of what is wrong with the dial, there are no chrono pushers next to the crown!

ETA: It is supposed to be a Grand Carrera Calibre RS 36, however TAG do not produce a RS 36 with a white face: http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/grand-carre...

Fake.

It's missing the pushers on the right and one offset on the left. Even the good fakes include those.

I don't think Tag make that watch with a white dial.

It doesn't appear to have a power reserve hand, although it has a power reserve painted on the dial.

a bit late to the party, but yes fake as hell.

worth £20-30 max when new.

the so-called Cotes d'Geneve pattern on the dial is so coarse and ugly that it looks more like printing than a fine example of milled engineering.
