Apologies.....What watch for c. £200?
Discussion
Good afternoon gents, first time posting in here!
A relative recently passed away and I was left some money and I would like to get something which I will both use, and have to keep. So I thought about getting a new watch...
Ideally I would like:
A metal bracelet
Chronograph
Silver / gunmetal case / bracelet
Blue face (not a biggie but would like something a bit different)
I realise £200 isn't a heck of a lot when it comes to watches but if there are any suggestions from you guys who know a thing or 2 about them, it would be good.
Thanks

I bought one of these in Singapore:

Not a blue face but ticks your other boxes. I really like it, it's my first proper watch since I grew out of the Accurist I bought as an 18 year old student.
ETA:
Found these on Amazon but not the gunmetal version:

This is nice too:

Decisions decisions!
Silver with blue face, chrono, 10% over budget, and not an auto but that might not bother you. http://www.watchshop.com/mens-tissot-prc200-chrono...

How about this?
Tissot PRC 200 blue dial
A metal bracelet - Check
Chronograph - Check
Silver / gunmetal case / bracelet - Check
Blue face - Check
It is a little over budget, with a retail price of around £280 but you can get them new for less than £230. £222 is the best I have found so far.
I have tried one of these on, albeit the black dial one - nicer looking IMHO - reassuringly heavy(ish) and feel very well made.
Saphire crystal, 200m WR and Swiss made to boot.

Good luck hunting!

Great minds! must have pipped me by seconds!
I would have a look for an original TAG F1 - they can be had for £100 - £200, and there is a chronograph version.
They are available in a variety of colours, and are a mid size watch, so not massivew on the wrist.
I would go for a non-chronograph model with the luminous face. IMHO they are a design classic (although it was hard to find a decent picture of one):

You can get it with a blue face too, but luminous is the way to go.

Another vote for the Tissot PRC, I got the black faced one for my wedding present from the missus and I absolutely love it. Very well built, swiss engineered and miles better than the Seiko Kinetic watch I got a few years ago. Looks the part and is solidly built, I've had many a compliment on it and people are often surprised it cost less than £300.
