I would have said yes to the style of the watch, as a busy, bulky, shouty, look at me, sports watch is not for you.
I don't think it is sporty watch, it does not have all the bells and whistles associated with one.

I would have seen you wearing a vintage watch though, a 60/70 Omega SeaMaster or Heuer for example simple, clean lines, age and character.
Perhaps when I am older.I've got the WV211B.BA0787, which is the same watch but on a bracelet. In comparison with my others it's very discreet, and rarely gets noticed (my Omegas are big, and the Breitlings are... Well... Breitlings
). Nice enough to be worn every day, or just at home at a black tie do.
I love it, and although I'd like an original Carrera it's a touch cheaper.

I knew that she was traditional, your good lady, but she makes you dress up for dinner? At home?

Have a family member interested in one of these.
I struggle to see what it offers over say a Sinn 556 or the aforementioned Visodate. I think he just wants the visibility of the very well marketed Tag name.
The Sinn is a bit utilitarian for me, although they are lovely watches. I struggle to see what it offers over say a Sinn 556 or the aforementioned Visodate. I think he just wants the visibility of the very well marketed Tag name.
The Carrera has that, currently trendy, link to the Heuers of old to the man in the street.
I just like the simplicity. I'd consider a Stowa MO though.

Cotty, what's your budget? An extra £1K on top of the Carrera Twin Time RRP gets you into Omega Aqua Terra territory ...

And with those words, Cotty begins down the path of watch purchase we've all followed; Start with x, stretch it slightly, the realise that actually if you double the original budget and sell a kidney, a far more logical and sensible purchase becomes possible.
The Twin Time certainly looks nicer than the cooking version.
A Stowa MO, or Auto would be a far better VFM choice IMHO.

Only £1500 Cotty and you're looking at a Railmaster...Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
