I've just found my old Omega Seamaster in my bedside table drawer. It's a 1000m rated beast which I was given by my company in the mid 70s when I was doing things underwater offshore. No box or anything but I have photos of me wearing it back then.

This is it........ Are they worth anything much?

Ssssshhhhhh....... wink no, they're pretty common and worth very little. Bottom really dropped out of the market.......I'll do you a favour and relieve you of your burden for shall we say......£500.00? biggrin

Depends if you think £4k to £5k is anything much I guess?

Bloody hell... I had no idea it was worth anything like that. Maybe I'd better put it somewhere safe biggrin

Very rare and original, it'll be worth a lot as has been said.

You don't have to keep it as safe as Grandads Rolex though, it'd be a bit big for that anyway...

Be also interesting to see some scans of you wearing it - I'm sure things like that sold along with the watch will add to its value if you do consider selling.

Here's a photo taken in 1978 on the back of sub support vessel in Italy.. I think the watch is easily identifiable although hopefully I'm not!

Is that an old RadioShack 2 way radio ? scratchchin

The PloProf looks huge, tell me more about why you were given it,

PS. If you do sell it, can I have first refusal, thanks.

If I remember rightly we were given three or four by - I assume - Omega. Quite why I don't know. I was a sub pilot at the time so I got one along with a couple of the other pilots and I think our boss kept one. Could be one of our subs was used or planned to be used in an Omega ad but I really don't know.

I actually think that was a Radioshack radio.

This BTW is what a sub looked like. This was a 1000ft design for diver lock out work. The front end was at atmospheric pressure and the back end was essentially a diving bell.
