Titanium Seamaster "gone sloppy"
Discussion
I've had a Ti SMP for probably about 12 years now and worn it as a daily beater which has included everything from welding to diving to laying bricks and it has taken the beating superbly with the glass still immaculate and the case/strap a lovely blend or merged scratches. However the strap appears to be wearing out from the inside out, the strap pins appear to be made from stainless and my diagnosis is that the harder stainless has slowly elongated the holes and resulted in a degree of play in the strap that is now starting to worry me that sooner or later it will simply wear through and fall apart, but the genuine cost from omega for a new strap or all the parts needed is almost prohibitive and it would be cheaper to buy a less worn example ( as I believe it has now been discontinued), so what to do or should I get a stainless version which is cheaper and may be harder wearing?
