Hi all

Seen a watch over on TZ that looks interesting but never owned nor know anything about Seiko's in general (despite the almost cult following) and especially not Military types.

The watch is a non-issued 7T27 Gen 2 RAF Seiko. I have PM'd the seller over some scratches on the crystal to see how bad etc they are.

However for those more knowledgable than I -
Is the glass acrylic (a la Speedy Pro) - I assume it is not sapphire crystal ?
Do these specific 7T27 make decent daily beaters as other Seiko's seem to make ?
Is there anything specific with these watches that is good to know ? For example I have read on a US based forum that the wheel that controls the 24 hour sub-dial is plastic and eventually wears making it out of sync with the actual time.

Cheers all

The glass will be Hardlex so hardened window glass.

You're better waiting for a GOOD Seiko 7A28 or 7A38!

Can't help with that specific model and your queries, but no doubt it would make a good daily wearer. I would imagine the crystal is Sapphire, it certainly looks it.
Nice looking watch! thumbup
