Just bumped into an old pal who mid conversation was extremely happy to show off his recently purchased Seapro sports chrono it had a silver bracelet with blue dial with orange inner dials and hands... hed apparently paid £500 i think he said for it? I nodded enthusiasticaly and said "oh now that does look nice". Typically i realised half way through his waffling that i was slightly light of any watch there and then to trump him rolleyes Anyway hes just called round and given me one exactly the same as i liked his so much smile

Hard to say.

I'd never heard of Riedenschild, but I love my Dark Sea Diver.

It isnt on that site but the logo is the same...the last bit of your post is very true about many watches of high and lower value.

"Thumbing" through their online catalogue, I can't help thinking they're rebranded Citizen quartzes or some such level of watch. Looks like they're using a combination of Japanese and Swiss movements, both quartz and mechanical, including the hand sets and applied markers. I need to get out more.

Edit: going into their online shop, it appears I am correct. The prices are pretty competitive; I hope your friend's watch was an automatic chrono if he paid £500.
