Yes - I know exactly what you mean - particularly that one as the lume has been ladled on.

Apart from the Sinn they are all over 30 years old, so, as in the Heuer, there is sun damage, (more so on the upper hand that nearly always covers the minute hand), the Lemania has had a very big dollop of lume painted on and even to the naked eye it has a rough texture to it, but I suppose it was an issued watch so ''P' for plenty' applies! The Tissot seems to have faired better though, but yes, imperfections get more noticeable the closer in you get. The Sinn is quite tidy still though, and as you say, at a normal distance you don't notice these things but I suppose it's all part of their characters.

Here's an Omega -

Nice and tidy!

I love it when you can see the shadow. I mean all watch hands cast shadows, obviously, but you never see them because everything is so close together in reality. Even better when you can see reflection off chrome hands! smile

Just for you -

There were black single dials, black and white versions with hour counters at 6 o'clock and an 'all black' version too. They also did a 'Lobster' version also, along with a football time version (on Ebay at the moment) and a few other varieties.

I prefer this case shape and the non-hour counter but may be tempted by an all black.

Black single subdial:

Black hour subdial:

White hour subdial:

'Football' timer:

All black:

Lobster:

Plus a few others (blue dial etc).

Not bad pieces for £3-400 or so.

I won't lie I had a sly google for old Tissot's earlier today. I'm not a fan of the newer ones but that style has really caught my eye.
