I'm trying to choose a watch at the moment and thought I'd open up my search to the PH crowd who may be able to help. I'll start off by saying that I currently wear one of these:

I'm looking for something classic, timeless (hehe), automatic and special. I have a budget of up to £900.

Below are a few that I have looked at so far, the Baume & Mercier I can get under budget even though they have a much higher RRP but all others should be in or near budget.

Thanks!

I have considered one to scratch my dress watch itch. Definitely a stunning piece

What diameter is it? The FC website shows 38mm and 41.5mm models

How come? I've looked at a few of these and generally they are £12- 1500 for similar styles.

You could also look at Maurice Lacroix if you are able to get discounts as they have several similar "timeless" pieces.

Ball do a nice one (Engine Master? Think they do some variations of these- http://www.chronowatch.co.uk/product/6/231/Ball-En...

! I know they're in danger of being overrated, but I'm in the process of selling all my watches and keeping just the Monster.

To be fair, out of the list you've just posted at the end of the hitlist thread, the samurai and monster are the only one's I'd keep :P

Cheeky bugger!

Yup, I'm slimming down to get a Sumo on the wrist.
