Softening a strap
Discussion
Any suggestions on how to do this or is it just a case of wearing it in? The new leather strap on my watch is somewhat stiff, and since I have weedy wrists, it means the strap has to be done up tight or the whole thing is spinning around on my wrist. If I could soften it up a bit, then it would be a better fit.
Hold the strap at one end between the left thumb and index finger. Hold the strap 5mm along in the right thumb and index finger. Wiggle and bend strap for a minute. Move 5mm along and repeat until you've covered the length of the strap. Obviously, if you over-do it, you'll damage the strap and if you don't do it enough, you'll make no difference...
