Repairs to a 1970s Omega
Discussion
Many years ago I inherited my grandfathers Omega Geneve (like the one in this picture only with a gold face http://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/resources/1/omega... I've had it about 20 years but never worn it, it needed a good service and repairs when I got it and I never had the money or got round to it. I'd like to get it put back into working order, not bothered about scratches etc as long as it works, anyone recommend somewhere to send it, idealy I'd like someone to give me a quote before starting work, thanks.
Omega's office UK service organisation is Swiss Time Services based in Essex. I have used them for my Omega: full service, new battery etc £180, standard charge mandated by Omega apparently. Did a great job. Best if you can take the watch there for quick turn round otherwise expect around 6 weeks. You can send the watch to them and they will give you an estmate first.
I suggest you access their website and see what it tells you.
There are other firms that could do the work.

That really sums things up nicely for Britain and our Olympic games effort. Behind time and probably over budget.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
