Opinions on whats acceptable?
Discussion
I know very little about watches, I bought mine because it looked nice and had the functions on it that I wanted,
2 weeks ago I purchased the watch new (swiss brand Chronometer) from a one of the main swiss watch retailers... Since then it consistently run 60+ seconds fast a day, so by the end of the week we are talking over 7 to 10 minutes a head of time.
Obviously this part is unnaceptable, it was sold to me as being COSC certified (certificate included in the sale).
I have questioned my options, for the retailer to state that the only option is to send it back to Switzerland which will take 4 weeks+
So I have had a watch for 2 weeks, and it then has to be sent off for over a month... during which time I imagine my rights will have changed.
I love the watch, but the aftersales support is making me consider a refund (if thats even an option) before it's left to long. Afterall a watch that just looks pretty after 2 or 3 days because the time is innacurate is no good to me.
Without ripping into me to much, any opinions?

Refund or instant replacement I'd think, particularly as it was sold as certified. Stand your ground in the store until they see sence, the watch simply isn't up to the standard that it should be from new.2 weeks ago I purchased the watch new (swiss brand Chronometre) from a one of the main swiss watch retailers... I went to a different AD of the same chain. I originally purchased the watch from Edinburg and I live in Nottingham which makes life difficult, so nipped across to Manchester which was the next closest. (saw a black and White veyron too driving around in manchester which made the day more interesting).
They were really helpful, offered loads of solutions and couldn't help enough. They must have seen me coming though as I ended up spending another £800 on an alternative as they couldn't get a replacement for 2 weeks.
I got a very good discount on the alternative though and it's a superquartz instead of completely mechanical which will probably suit me better anyway.
So a relatively happy outcome.
Cheers for the tips.
