TW Steel - What do those in the know think?
Discussion
I'm after some advice from those far more knowledgeable than me in all things watches. I've had an Omega Seamaster for the last 13 years and it's been my everyday as well as smart watch for most of that time. I do have a couple of other watches but I fancy a change to something more 'entry level' for day to day use and have been sent details of an offer for a TW Steel F1 Pilot 48mm for £89 brand new. The price looks right and I like the watch itself but TW Steel are not a make I've really heard of before so what do those in the know think of them as a brand? Any horror stories I should be aware of?
This is the same watch from the watchshop website - http://www.watchshop.com/mens-tw-steel-renault-f1-...
Thanks

They are a fashion brand, so it won't be as nice a watch as your Seamaster, but the one thing which strikes me is the size - 48mm is a bloody big lump of a watch, and it'll sit proud of your wrist at 14mm. If you wear shirts daily, you're going to have a problem getting it under a cuff...
TW also sell the same watch in 45mm for a couple of tenners less!

The link was just to show the watch, I can get it for £89 through an employee benefit scheme. Can't link to that as you have to be a member to see it.
Oops. If I'd read your post in full instead of just thinking, "Ooh, look! Link to watch!"... It's an illness, I tell thee.-Darren
So many watches, so little time.

£89 is a bargain - If you don't like it, you could always sell it on for roughly the same, perhaps a bit more! However I imagine the 45mm version will be easier to sell in comparison to the 48mm.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
