New Rolex with discount and 0% finance
Discussion
I was thinking after seeing this today at goldsmiths they offer 0% finance why would people pay upfront for there item (cos this is what i always do) maybe i could use the 5k-8k to better use.
Does anyone any places in the UK which offer discount and 0% finance for 12/24/36months
After a sub green ceramic/ black ceramic or bi colour ceramic
Thanks

Think you are unlikely to get a discount and 0% finance in the same deal. Goldsmiths is probably your best bet for the finance scheme though only a few branches in the chain sell Rolex.
If you are going to go down the finance scheme (and I suspect your thinking is already here) you could always stick the cash in an account where it will gain some interest (a pittance these days I guess) and have the monthly payments debiting from the account (if you can set up a DD on a savings a/c - if not, then a S/O from the savings a/c to a current a/c and the payment taken from there). That would mean that your money would be working for you. To make it work harder perhaps use a guaranteed return 12 month ISA and have a chunk of money in that but keep enough in an account to pay the finance plan. You could model some options simply enough with a spreadsheet.
Another route could be a 0% credit card though you may not get a zero rate for 24/36 months.
Another possible justification could be that when you have finally paid off your 36th payment, the RRP is likely to be higher than today and thus you have made a saving overall by buying now. The residual value of the watch could well be higher too.

I understand its very hard to get a steel discount
But i too would be under the impression if i went for a bi colour i should get a discount if i was paying for hard cold cash but with the finance deal one shop said to me NO haha
They said if you take the 0% deal we cant give you discount but on a bi colour and paying cash can give you 5% which i thought was a bit crap.

The best bet is to negotiate the discount for cash then change the goal posts and insist on the 0% finance as well. DFS got taken to the cleaners by trading standards years ago for discounting sofas for cash but not on 0%, the view was that if it's advertised as 0% finance then it has to be just that not pretend to be 0% by hiding the interest in the retail price then discount by this amount if the buyer pays cash, this is put simply false advertising. This is the reason that you simply cannot negotiate any sort of cash discount in DFS any more.

I got 7% off my stainless steel Sub without really trying. I think if I'd pressed I'd have got more, but it was a small, independent AD and I didn't want to be an arse. Somewhere bigger and I'd have no qualms about pushing for 10% and I think you'd probably get close.
Getting a discount of a sub- well done Never thought that was possible
