This arrived yesterday afternoon cool

I absolutely love it. It's everything I hoped it would be and more. The condition is fabulous and I doubt it would have looked much better in the 70's. I do intend using it though, it wont be a safe queen.

It's certainly not what you call a pretty watch but the blue face with orange plonguer minute hand is a classic combo. It's also way more comfortable than it should be given the size and shape. I wore it all day yesterday and was genuinely surprised how easy it wears. I was a little worried that it would look too outlandish but for some reason it doesn't. Others may disagree but I didn't feel a prat walking around Tesco's in it smile

The Omega mesh it came on is a little too bling for me so the watch is staying on a reissue black Isofrane.

Are you going to get a mesh for it?

Looks nice.

Mesh just sold on TZ, as he said, he doesn't like bling. smile
Yeah, it's all a bit too shiny for me. I reckon a well wabi'd watch with a scuffed and dulled mesh would look pretty cool though. It was comfortable but just not for me.

I'm not a fan of mesh straps either. My MO has one as an option and two other watches which are definitely on my list at some point (Max Bill by Junghans, Breitling Superocean) have them and I've been put off in both cases by the mesh.

ETA: Congratulations on the PloProf. Epic, in every respect. Well done.

Thanks Stuart. I think in most cases a mesh photographs really well but I've never worn one that I actually like on the wrist. I have to say I'm not a Breitling fan at all but I'd certainly have a Superocean.....on rubber smile

Have you tried the Plop on a Rhino or Waterborne?

Sorry Bri, not a NATO/Rhino fan at all. I can understand the reasoning behind them but just don't like the look.
