New watch itch
Discussion
12 years ago, for my 21st birthday I was given a 2000 series Tag Heuer (Silver face, silver strap) which I wore daily right up to a year ago when I got a new, Aquaracer Quartz (black face, silver dials). The Aquaracer was a watch I always wanted but now, I found myself wanting something new - such as an Omega or a Brietling (not necessarily new).
I have all the papers and boxes for both watches and am beginning to wonder what they could be worth, and, whether anyone could recommend a retailer which would take both in as part of a deal on a new watch.
The only thing in the way is the sentimental value of my 2000 but I think I could look past this.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Looking at past sales on TZ, the Aquaracer 2000 series last sold went for £175. Realistically, given the sentimental value, probably worth keeping and just saving a bit harder.
As mentioned Tag Quartz watches do not have good residuals but you might get a decent amount for the Aquaracer.

Don't sell the watch you got for your 21st, you'll regret it in years to come.
You sound just like Mrs Fun Bus and I think I would regret it - especially since it was from my parents and my Father is no longer with us. I'm also not under any disillusion that Quartz watches aren't worth what the Automatic examples are 2nd hand.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
